This is your guide to the lovely, close-knit community of Windsor Terrace. Sandwiched between Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery and situated along the F line, Windsor Terrace is also served by several bus routes. The 16,000 residents are represented by Community Board 7, and our City Councilman in District 39 is Bill deBlasio. Free internet access is available at the neighborhood branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, located on East 5th Street. Anchored by the historic Holy Name church, Prospect Park West, perhaps better known to some as Ninth Avenue, is the area's main shopping strip and home to the landmark Farrell's Bar. Other highlights along the avenue include Terrace Bagels and the Pavilion Theater, which was once called the Sanders and now offers film in digital satellite form. A long walk (or a short bus ride) from the avenue will bring you to The Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and The Brooklyn Children's Museum. |
